In Out of Any Present, Sofia Dias & Vítor Roriz explore the potential of words, voice, and movement and their complex and tangled relations, through systematic repetition and subsequent transformation. In this creation, premiered in 2012, the idea of hypertext leads the performance as an uninterrupted spiral of actions and situations offering an alternative to the idea of narrative coherence that limits our understanding of reality.

Sofia Dias & Vítor Roriz are independent dancers and choreographers who collaborate on the research and creation of dance pieces since 2006. Their work has been presented in Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Romania, Belgium, England, Slovenia, Cyprus, Poland, Finland, Brazil, and the Netherlands. They are often invited to run workshops and teach courses in Portugal and abroad. Their work has been supported by cultural institutions and organisations such as Bomba Suicida, Cia Clara Andermatt, Eira, Capa/Devir, Alkantara, Negócio/ZDB, Fórum Dança, and O Rumo do Fumo, among others. They are associate artists at Materiais Diversos and O Espaço do Tempo.
